A bright deep gold that approaches a warm butterscotch color, topped with a bright white creamy foam.

Taste

A full-bodied aromatic profile with ripened grains and strong malt notes. A palatable body complimented by the slightly fruity and spicy hop aromatics.

AROMA

With a malty sweetness and toasted breads, caramel, this lager embodies the fall spirit. A faint nuttiness that adds depth to the overall balance.

ABOUT THIS BREWERY

In 1888, the Bürgerliches Brauhaus Wiesen belonged to Wiesen citizens, surrounded by the legendary Hochspessart forests and meadows. Christof Hartmann tookover the brewery in 1913, followed by Karola and Ina Elsesser to uphold the qualitative standards into the future.

With soft, mineral rich water from the Aubach spring and locally grown grain, used to brew fine beer specialties. A long-standing commitment to quality ingrediants. Modernization of the bottling line to increase capacity range in addition to a box packer. Adding to the selection as well as a more water conscious bottle washing machine from Klinger.

A festival beer, traditionally the brewing would begin in March to ensure that the beer would be ready for the fall, and often served at Oktoberfest celebrations.
