ABOUT THIS BREWERY

Located in Bavaria, one of the five oldest German breweries with a continuous beer production history dating back to 1283. Embracing sustainability, they have converted their heat supply to use regenerative energy sources; including a biomass heating center that supplies a CO2 neutral process heat to the brewery.

With extensive solar panels covering the majority of their buildings, they are able to significantly reduce their energy usage. Energy improvements that they continue to improve annually.

BEER TYPE INFORMATION

A darker and just as evervescent as the light Weizen version of the style. With spicy cloves, mild hops and a malty finish. Typically, a style in Eastern Bavaria, close to the Czech border. The softer water in the area preserves the style, whereas a harder water would give a harsh finish.
