ABOUT THIS BREWERY

Established in 1810 by King Friedrich August I (King of Saxony), the Eibau brewery was the first country brewery in the Zittau area. Gaining notority first for their traditional Black beer or Schwarzbier that remains a staple.

BEER TYPE INFORMATION

A darker and just as evervescent as the light Weizen version of the style. With spicy cloves, mild hops and a malty finish. Although originally popular in Eastern Bavaria, the style is seen in many German beer brewing cities.
