Taste

Nearly black with elements that are reddish-brown. Caramel notes that are moderately malty with a hint of purple prunes. A mellow beer that offers a pleasant roastiness.

AROMA

An overall sweet malty profile with a caramel profile, with the addition of prune and dark chocolate that add complexity to the nose.

ABOUT THIS BREWERY

Established in 1810 by King Friedrich August I (King of Saxony), the Eibau brewery was the first country brewery in the Zittau area. Gaining notority first for their traditional Black beer that remains a staple.
